Google staff reportedly begged it to not launch ‘pathological liar’ AI chatbot Bard

In line with inner paperwork reviewed by Bloomberg (opens in new tab), a number of Google staff raised issues that its Bard (opens in new tab) AI chatbot was not prepared for its March launch, citing low-quality, incorrect, and probably harmful solutions. Two quotes about Bard allegedly from staff: “pathological liar” and “cringe-worthy.”

Bard (opens in new tab) is Google’s reply to OpenAI’s ChatGPT (opens in new tab). CEO Sundar Pichai stated it “combines the breadth of the world’s data with the ability, intelligence, and creativity of our giant language fashions.” However Bloomberg experiences that Google rushed Bard out the door with a view to compete with ChatGPT in what the corporate allegedly known as a aggressive “code crimson.”
